Spoilers for this episode below:

Things that happened

Jack invites Liz to a prince’s birthday party and makes jokes about her inability to be attractive. Jenna gets jealous because she wants to become a real-life Cinderella. They all go to the party (Jenna by flashing the security guard) where the prince has severe problems from inbreeding. Jack’s ex-wife is there, so Jack pretends he is dating Liz. This freaks out Bianca (the ex-wife) and this pleases Jack. The prince does become smitten with Jenna, who dines and dances with him, because her desire to become a princess trumps everything else. She is relived of princess duty, however, when he dies (I’m not kidding.) Meanwhile, Tracy is convincing the bald producer whose name I STILL do not know that strippers bring power to one’s relationship. But by the end, he goes home to his wife like a good Jewish boy.

Things that were good

  • Liz and Jack’s scenes. Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin play so well off each other, it’s really enjoyable to watch them banter.
  • Tracy Morgan. He is wacky, and while it can be annoying, he’s really good at it. Really good.
  • Isabella Rossellini is great- but also crazy- as Jack’s ex-wife.
  • The bathroom scene.

Things that were not so good

  • They are still trying to make this show too wacky, and it often comes across as uncomfortable. Case point tonight: The Prince.

Worth watching if…..

You appreciate jokes about being physically handicapped. Or if you appreciate Alec Baldwin. He is on a roll lately, and it’s delightful to watch. Also, this show is consistently improving and that alone makes it worth to watch.

In Five Words

Cinderella will never come true.
