It's really not so much about watching it is as it is <em>experiencing</em> it. Knowing Jack is going to yell "TELL ME WHERE THE BOMB IS!" while stabbing a hostage with a piece of glass doesn't take away from the sheer excitement and thrill of it. I feel like it's a primer for when I binge-watch the whole series. It's sort of like when you read a book that becomes a movie, so that when you're getting to a movie part from the book, you're all like, "Yes! This awesome part is coming up!" Like when the big eagles came to get Frodo off the Mount Doom lava rock. If Peter Jackson was a badass, he would've ended that shit <i>right there</i>.
