While I know this was written before the NPD Data was released, I think it's important to note that Wii Play, one of those few titles in Jan. and Feb., sold a ridiculous amount of copies, and with it a ridiculous amount of Wiimotes. With Sonic and SSX for Late Feb/March, and then Super Paper Mario in April, this is certainly not the worst software drought a Nintendo system has seen.

You're right, though; Nintendo likes to be frustrating. If they manage to use Animal Crossing as an Online community, I think they can salvage some of that...but it's old hat now, with Home revealed, should they have been planning to go that way.

3D Hockey was amazing. I watch TV hockey if only to shout, "That goalie's a wall!" (usually without the goalie turning into an actual wall) and, "Looks like Robin Hood and his Merry Men are up to it again."

My thoughts exactly about Little Big Planet. If Nintendo made it and showed it at E3 2004 or something, everyone would be like, "Broing!"

PlayStation Home really surprised me, only because I thought Nintendo was going to have the exact same thing but call it Animal Crossing. Think about it: you have your own little house, and just like in the GameCube version you have those creepy dancing robots those little NES machines, but for Wii they could play your Virtual Console games. If Animal Crossing was online and with real people, I wouldn't get bored with endless trading missions, weeding, and pissing off the goat guy.
